     He works as a sideman or co-leader in the following groups: 

                              NORRBOTTEN BIG BAND

                                                                            
          Hakan  plays lead alto in this fantastic big band  located in Luleå, Norrbotten,Sweden.
          Artistic director for the band is the great trumpet player/composer/arranger Tim Hagans. 
          Most of the members of the band are employed on steady basis wich really is something
          unique in the music world today. There are a few freelancers though, (like hakan),
 that are hired for each project.
         Hakan has been playing with the band since 1993.
         During these years they have had a a lot of great musicians as guest artists with the band. 
         Such as:
         Joe Lovano,Bob Berg,Dave Liebman,Peter Erskine,Jerry Bergonzi,Maria Schneider,Bob Brookmeyer, 
         Dick Oatts,Toots Thielemans,Putte   Wickman,,Conrad Herwig,Rufus Reid, among others.   
         The band also has a very unusal producer, Mirka Siwec, who does things that most people would
         consider not possible.

This hammond quartet is led by the well known guitar maestro Ulf Wakenius. As you may know, he was part of the one  and only Oscar Petersons Quartet for several years.To be honest, this is much more than just another hammond group.The quartet combines the swinging legacy from giants as Jimmy Smith and Jack Mc Duff with the music of Horace Silver  Eddie Harris,B.B. King to name a few.There are also Coltrane influences as well as pop songs.
